Back in 2019, when we began teaching students in the UK, we referred around 50 students to a broker. At that time, the broker offered $600 per qualified client. In total, the payout was approximately $16,000 - without fully recognising the long-term value of the trading volume behind those clients.
Within a year, those traders generated nearly 13,000 lots in combined volume. Under standard affiliate structures, most partners earn between $2 and $5 per lot. However, with the right institutional agreement, a $10 per lot structure was achievable. That difference alone could have resulted in over $130,000 in commissions from the same client base.
What truly highlighted the opportunity was this: those traders continued trading. Over time, their combined volume likely crossed 40,000–50,000 lots. The long-term commission potential could have reached half a million USD - yet only $16,000 was realised due to accepting a basic structure without strategic negotiation. No regret. Just a lesson in leverage.
